George the Snowman
Have you ever heard of Happily Hooked Magazine? My pattern for George the Cable Stitched Snowman is featured in their “Winter Wonderland” (Issue 9) edition. If you want to find out how to make him, check out the magazine HERE or, come back to my blog in 2-3 months where I will be posting my pattern.
Doesn’t the cover of the magazine look amazing? I love how it is so festive!
I had such an awesome time making him. I love how I could apply the technique of cabling into the front of the snowman, giving him more texture! Unlike my other amigurumi. I actually used the half double crochet stitch instead of my regular single crochet stitch. This made the snowman build up more quickly, and made the cabling (the front post treble and back post stitches!) a lot easier!
But my favourite part about him is definitely his carrot nose!
I want to make more snowmen with different coloured scarves so I can have a family of snowmen! I think they would make a perfect Christmas decoration!
